Conscious Climbing operates within Ponderosa State Park at The Thinking Spot, providing guided single-pitch climbing experiences in a structured outdoor setting.

Programs are led by AMGA-certified Single Pitch Instructor and co-founder Collin, who also holds current Wilderness First Aid and CPR certifications.

Emily, co-founder of Conscious Climbing, is a Wilderness First Responder with a CPR certification and supports program operations, helping maintain appropriate supervision and safety standards.

Our approach emphasizes professional standards, small group supervision, and structured systems, ensuring each experience is organized, appropriate, and thoughtfully managed in an outdoor environment.

Who We Are

Co-founders Collin and Emily are two seasoned outdoor professionals who moved to McCall five years ago for its small-town mountain atmosphere.

They created Conscious Climbing to expand access to outdoor climbing in McCall through structured, professionally guided experiences.

Their long-term vision is to continue growing the local climbing community, with the goal of establishing a dedicated indoor climbing facility in the future.

The future of Climbing in McCall

We’re building more than a guiding service—we’re working to grow the climbing community in McCall.

Our long-term vision is to create year-round opportunities for climbers of all levels, beginning with outdoor experiences and expanding toward a dedicated indoor climbing space in the years ahead.

We believe McCall deserves a place where people can train, connect, and engage with climbing year-round—and we’re committed to helping make that a reality.
